How many people can attend a Salem Hat Company workshop?
Each scheduled workshop has up to 10 reservable seats. It is one shared session with one capacity limit, not a collection of separate private appointments.
Small-group workshop · up to 10 seats
Gather around one worktable for a small-group Salem workshop where up to ten people learn, make, compare choices, laugh at the awkward middle, and leave with a witch hat shaped by their own hands.
The hat-making workshop is a small-group Salem experience at $130 per seat, with up to 10 seats and a choice of set designs. Attendees must be 15 or older because the work uses hot glue and sharp tools. You leave with a witch hat made by your own hands.
Why this exists
This is not ten private appointments happening near one another. It is one shared workshop. Everyone starts together, learns together, navigates the slightly chaotic middle together, and watches ten different hats emerge from the same room.
The craft gives everybody something to do while conversation takes care of itself. Friends can make a Salem memory together. Families can compare creative decisions. Solo visitors can simply pull up a chair and discover that strangers become much easier to talk to when everyone is trying to persuade a piece of hat material to behave.
Each scheduled workshop is intentionally small, with no more than ten seats. The limit gives the maker enough room to help, gives everyone enough space to work, and keeps the gathering feeling like a workshop rather than a minor textile emergency.
Take a seat at one shared table with a group small enough for the maker to see what everybody is trying to create.
Learn through the making itself. You will work alongside the instruction rather than watching somebody else have all the fun from the back of the room.
Pick from a choice of set designs, then let shape, treatment, and finishing decisions give your piece its own personality.
Leave Salem with a witch hat made by your own hands and a memory considerably harder to lose in your camera roll.

Each scheduled workshop has up to 10 reservable seats. It is one shared session with one capacity limit, not a collection of separate private appointments.
Workshop duration is set for each scheduled event and will be published with that date. We would rather give you the actual length of the session you are considering than invent a generic number before the schedule is finalized.
Everyone attending must be 15 or older, and attendees aged 15 to 17 need a participating adult with them. The workshop uses real tools: hot glue guns, needles, and sharp implements. The maker walks everyone through safe handling, but small burns and nicks are an honest possibility of the craft. Everyone signs a brief safety form on arrival, and participation is at your own risk.
